Happy Bokeh Monday!

Bokeh comes from the
Japanese word
'Boke' which means blur. Bokeh refers to the blurred, out-of-focus areas of the photo caused by the lens of the camera usually set at the widest aperture. This out-of -focus area tends to cause the primary subject in the photo to stand out.Bokeh can be circular in shape, completely smooth, or a mix of the two. Some lenses produce a geometric shaped bokeh which some consider undesirable.

There are many groups on Flikr that concentrate on just Bokeh and the artistic sense of it.
Photographers have found many ways to create bokeh from anything from Christmas lights in the background to adding a shape to the lens to create a new style of bokeh. This is something I would love to experiment with.

Thank you very much for fitting me into your busy schedule. I really appreciated it...and the pictures were amazing. Daniel, Me, and Little Daniel are definitely coming to see you for our family picture. Thanks! Rachel Merriweather, NC

I loved my experience with Melinda; I brought my daughter and son to her and
plan to bring the entire family to her next month. She was cheerful and had
some really great ideas but also let you be creative and use your ideas as
well. My daughter absolutely loves her pictures and we have gotten many
compliments on how beautiful they are. In that we have also given many
referrals to people who would love to have the same experience we had. I
highly recommend Melinda for any of your portrait needs!!
